The Power of Data Analytics @ FutureWard Central | Taipei City | Taiwan

In 2020 the world will generate 50 times the amount of data than in 2011! We’ve all heard that the world of big data and machine learning is upon us, and the transformation of industries and the work we do within them is well underway.

This interactive keynote by Vinay Sisodia presents some applications of data science that give the hype meaning—from wearables, sensors used in agriculture, social media sentiment analysis and more—before giving you a chance to jump into our Data Science ‘sandbox’ and get down with data.

To conclude, Vinay will use the experience he’s received setting up Skyrock Data—an education provider and consultancy that designs programs for companies and even gifted high school students—to make sure that everyone in the room, no matter what their level or interest or experience, knows what resources and options are available for them to get started, and how they stand to gain from developing professionally and creatively in the field of data science.

After all, Data Science is as much of a mindset as it is a profession, one that identifies opportunities in our work to make evidence-based decisions by experimenting, measuring and optimizing instead of using intuition and creative genius to set it and forget it.

Come on by, and let’s get started!

About the Speaker:
Vinay Sisodia graduated from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) with a masters in Biotechnology before training as data scientist with Barclays bank in Singapore. Since then, Vinay has been learning and applying the latest in machine learning and AI as fast as it’s getting invented, and dedicates most of his time to making it accessible to all through creative learning experiences.
